The trip

Costa Rica is where nature is still in charge. Eleven days between volcanoes, rainforest and the Pacific coast, far from the resort circuit.

We start at Arenal, climb Tenorio and Rincón de la Vieja, go out at night with a biologist looking for snakes and head down to the Tárcoles river to see crocodiles up close. We finish on the coast, at a farm where the food comes from the land and the sea that same day.

This is not a holiday package. It is a week and a half with a group of twelve who want the same thing you do: get off the screen, tire the body out and come back with a story.

What we will do

  • Arenal, Tenorio and Rincón de la Vieja. Trails over old lava flows, fumaroles and hot springs heated by the ground itself.

  • Hikes almost every day, two to six hours, in the jungle and on the volcano slopes. Rio Celeste is the best one.

  • Snakes

    Day 4

A night walk in the forest with a local biologist to find snakes, frogs and everything that only comes out after dark. No cages.

  • Crocodiles

    Day 7

The Tárcoles river is famous for its giant crocodiles. We see them from a boat, a few metres away.

  • Fruit picked that day, fresh fish and raw food whenever possible, at a farm on the Pacific coast. We cook together.

  • Twelve people, group dinners, beach and bonfire. The part of the trip that stays after the photos.
